We’ve Moved (BTS)

Dear Shambhala Community,

I know many of you were surprised to learn of the sudden closure of our home at 691 Washington Avenue. Please know—it came as a surprise to all of us: our staff, our teachers, our families, and me.

Up until that point, we had been in active conversations with building management. Unexpectedly, those discussions ended, and they moved toward a forced removal. Thanks to an incredible support network, we were able to quickly and safely move most of our belongings out of the space. The days that followed were, honestly, chaotic.

While my primary focus was securing a new home for Shambhala, I know many of you were also looking for answers—and you deserved them. With a small team navigating a fast-moving situation, communication wasn’t always as timely as we would have liked. Thank you for your patience and grace during that time.

The good news: through community connection (and help from the universe), we found a new space right across the street.

We’ve signed a short-term lease at 732 Washington Avenue, and we are already up and running. While class sizes are a bit smaller, the space is serving us beautifully. You’ll find many of your favorite classes on the schedule—and we’ve even added a new feature that allows you to reserve your spot in the room.

We’re so excited to continue practicing together in this new space.

What’s next?

This location is a temporary home while we search for a permanent one. Our goal is to remain in the neighborhood and find a space that can fully support both our yoga offerings and our growing kids programs. I’m also dreaming into what’s possible—expanding into strength training, boxing, dance, and more.

We’re aiming to be in a new, long-term home by June 1st.

In the meantime, one of the most powerful ways you can support Shambhala is by spreading the word: we’ve moved—we have not closed. Your referrals, your presence, and your continued practice mean everything right now.

Thank you for being part of this community. Truly.

With gratitude and love,
Deanna
